Yes, it is happening! I started Insanity today! Going to Orlando in a month and decided it was time to push myself HARD to get the results I want.. no more pussy-footing around! It’s going to be tough but I WILL MAKE IT! :) Fit Test- Complete!!

Did you know that it’s not really worth it to eat things like chips, cookies, crackers, peanut butter etc. that have been artificially made “fat-free”? Here’s the scoop: in order to make it taste good they add more sugar & fillers (not good for you) and it ends up being the same amount of calories. But, you think you can eat more because it’s fat-free. Also, it won’t keep you full (both fat & protein keep you full longer than carbs) so you’ll eat more later. AND it doesn’t taste as good!! So, get the full-fat versions but keep your portion sizes moderate! :) (This goes for the yolks in eggs too! Plus, there are lots of good nutrients in the yolks you don’t get if you just eat the whites.)

I did NOT eat the Skittles! I was tempted… I will not lie… I tried to convince myself that I could justify the 240 calories… or that maybe I wouldn’t eat the whole bag (yeah, right!) But, I didn’t do it!
Veggie wrap for breakfast, Salad for lunch, Shakeology for dinner. A little concerned about the after-dinner snacking… popcorn, a bag of frozen veggies, a piece of chocolate, a banana… WHY? I shouldn’t be hungry. :( Oh… maybe it’s that water thing… crap.
Missed my workout today. :( No excuse, really. I will wake up early in the AM & get it done! Some weeks are just not perfect… Small victories (Skittles) and defeats (missed workout). Back & Forth… at least I didn’t miss my workout AND eat the skittles! :)
Just held a Fit Club at my house doing “Slim in 6” with some lovely ladies! :) Then ramped it up with some Turbo Fire HIIT!
About to get my TURBO FIRE on!! :) So much better than yesterday! Come on, baby! You’re NOT TIRED!!
So, I had intended to take some 30-day results photos but due to all of the crazy travel etc. that didn’t quite happen. SO, I took some anyway to show the progress at the end of week 6. :) (Better late than never, right?) They are not as clear as I would like and I wasn’t as thorough in poses as in the “Before” shots but you get the idea… There are no huge changes yet- around 8-10 lb loss and probably 4 inches all over… If you will notice that my pockets don’t “pooch” out anymore, my tummy is flatter, chest, waist and hips look slightly smaller… Meh. I can see some minor improvements. And, Ziva (my shepherd mix) wanted to be in the photos too… :) 2/11/2012 and 1/2/2012
